Thermal treatment with REMONDIS SAVA
Since the incineration plant began operations in the summer of 1998, REMONDIS SAVA has been ensuring that hazardous waste produced in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein is treated safely. Having one of the most modern and eco-friendly plants for recycling and treating hazardous substances, REMONDIS SAVA has, however, also built up a name for itself as a reliable partner for the thermal treatment of dangerous waste in Germany, Europe and beyond.
Being a subsidiary of REMONDIS Industrie Service, REMONDIS SAVA is able to access the services provided by the company group at all times – quickly and with absolutely no red tape
Collection, packaging, transport, processing
Since 2002, REMONDIS SAVA has also been providing a specialist service recovering pesticides and other chemicals all around the world. We have successfully completed international projects in many regions including Albania, Africa (Mauritania, Senegal, Cape Verde, Togo) and Romania. All of our full-service packages are provided by our own experienced and specially trained team.
Clear goals
When it comes to incinerating hazardous waste, REMONDIS SAVA sets itself clear targets which it is able to meet thanks to its high levels of responsibility and reliability. Its main goals are:
Destroying and eliminating environmentally hazardous organic substances
Collecting and concentrating heavy metals in the filter dust
Reducing volumes of waste
Recycling or disposing of residual waste (slag, gypsum and filter dust)
Recovering metal (scrap steel)

Generating energy (feeding electricity into the national grid)
